Teagan and Toby

I had to take Teagan's dress off because she was trying to crawl and kept getting her leg stuck in it. That is what I thought anyway, she still decided to crawl somewhat funny without it (see videos from last post).

It was so cute. Toby came over and laid by Teagan. I think he thinks that if he is close enough to her that he will get the same attention she does.... little does he know... :)

Hanging out in the Kitchen

After work i was trying to make dinner and this is what Teagan does....

First Big Girl Bath!

I was too lazy to get her tub out so i figured i would try her out in just the tub. She loved it. but it was way messier for mommy! water was everywhere, this girl loves to splash! i have a short video but at the end she tries to roll over in the tub and i freak out. dont worry she was okay. Last time i try to do that.

More pics of Teagan and Gera

Come here Gera!!!

I want you to look at me!!!

Okay, I guess I will just play with your arm then...

What are you doing in there?

Charlie, Louie, and Toby all exhausted from playing in the pool and running all over the place.

Visit at Work

I had to bring in some work i had done over the weekend on Monday and this is what my co-workers do with Teagan... We had this cute little wicker chair in our department (not sure what from) and Teagan fit in it perfectly. She was having a ball in it!

here is the video, but i have to turn it sideways, but i will have to wait till later to fix it.

Teagan and Gera

You will have to forgive me, these last few posts and the future ones are totally out of order, but it is better than not posting at all.... right?

I went to Heather's house (my co-worker who is on maternity leave) to have a play date with gera and charlie and Louie (sorry Heather, i can never remember how to spell your dog's names, ie, ey, or just y). Toby had lots of fun with the two labs, playing in the baby pool and running ragged all over the back yard. Toby was so tired when we got home that Teagan was running him over with the walker and he didnt budge!

Teagan also had lots of fun with Gera. Here are a few pictures from Heather's (very nice) camera.

Teagan would not stop grabbing at Gera's face! wait til i post some of my pictures. i think Teagan is going to rip her ears off!!! I guess she gets it from Emery... jk. I will try to post a pic of the dogs tonight.

Adelaide and Teagan

Jumpy Castle time!!! Teagan had her first try at the jumpy castle that Emery had at his birthday party. Teagan didnt really know what to do in there, not that she has many options... but Adelaide had tons of fun!

Food Bribery

Well, we are trying our best to get Teagan to crawl ( I know for all you out there that already have kids are just laughing because as soon as she starts crawling you know you will hear me complain that I cant get anything done because Teagan is into everything), but we are having a hard time. We even tried food as a bribe. It worked for a little while, but i think Teagan just was fed up with all this hub-bub!

Teagan and Emery

It was Emery's 1st Birthday on Sunday (well the party was on Sunday, but his actual birthday was on the 25th I think). So here is a little clip of Emery and Teagan hanging out on the grass.

Bailey

I am sad to announce, that Bailey Renwick passed away yesterday after fighting a loosing battle with Leukemia. She was diagnosed about 3 weeks ago, and the vet said she maybe had 2 weeks. Bailey fought hard and lasted longer than they expected. She lived a happy life.

Bailey was adopted from the Chicago OES rescue in September of 2002. A generous older gentleman was kind enough to pay for both of her hip surgeries (due to hip dysplasia) and then the Renwicks adopted this one year old, named Bailey. The first time I met her, and came over to visit my future in-laws and she was this friendly, skinny dog with a big cone on her head wiggling her entire body in excitement. She loved people. She gave tons of kisses, and would stand by your side every moment she could.

Bailey wasn't your typical dog. She wasn't a big fan of fetch or running around. She was a home-body and loved to just be around people, and watch. She soon became glued to Jim's hip and would go anywhere with him. She spent many hours in the car or at job sites. She LOVED it. Bailey wasnt a wonderer, so you didnt have to worry about keeping an eye on her while you were outside (unlike her nephew Toby).

Bailey was the queen of the house. Even Willy would try to pretend he was the boss every once in a while, but she put him in his place. Then when Toby came along, he just wanted to play. Bailey would play with him for a while, but when she was done, she told him. Toby would be persistent, and bug and pester, and annoy her. She would show her teeth or growl at him, though he never got the clue; but she was so gentle, she never hurt him no matter how annoying he got.

Bailey did have a fetish for cookies and carrots. If you couldnt get her to move or go someplace, you just had to ask "you want a cookie?", and she would come a running (and yes, i do mean running).

Bailey was a wonderful dog, and we will miss her dearly.

We love you Bailey!!

Sunflower

We did a plant exchange in the spring time at work and one of the plants I exchanged was a sunflower. I have never grown one before, so i figured i would give it a shot. It finally bloomed yesterday. It was crazy. When i left in the morning it was all closed up and when I got home it was in full bloom! it would have been neat to see it open. It isnt as tall as i would have imagined a sunflower, it is about 4 to 4.5 feet tall. There is another bud grown just below this one. I cant wait for that one to bloom!

I didnt think it would be able to stand up because I have it planted next to our mailbox and there is only about 3 inches of good dirt there and under that it is hard as a rock. But somehow it managed to grow enough roots to stay standing. I am hoping to get some of the seeds from it and plant another one next year. They are beautiful. The mail lady even made a special trip down our street to say how pretty it was.

Toby

This is our wonderful dog... He typically lays in front of the door, for what reason we do not know. I used to think because it was nice and cool there because of the draft in the winter, but he still does it now in the summer. He is weird, what can I say. But this was just too funny to pass up. Gini took this picture while she was watching Teagan yesterday. This is how he sleeps, and why the one side of our bed is all scratched up and why that facing wall is missing some paint. He sleeps next to our bed at night inbetween the side of our bed and the wall which is only about 2. 5 feed apart. So you hear him rolling around and scratching either the side of our bed or the wall throughout the night.

I tell ya, cats, kids, and dogs will ruin your house. If it is not Teagan and Ollie puking on the floor, it is Toby scratching our walls. Gotta love em!!!

Sat Up!

Last night Teagan was rolling around on the floor and getting frustrated as usual because she still cant crawl yet. She got on all fours and was scooting backwards and all of a sudden she was on her butt! She sat up all by herself! It was a first, at least for me to see. She went from her stomach to all fours to her butt. Of course i did not get it on video, but here are a few pictures of us celebrating her new accomplishment... Couldn't get her to do it again last night. But maybe soon i will be able to get it on video. Doesn't she look a little possessed in the last one, with that look and those red eyes... dont mess with her!!!

Green beans

I went outside the other day to pick our green beans we have growing in our back yard. Teagan was being fussy so i gave her one while i was out there. It went straight for the mouth of course, a little dirt dont hurt, right? So when we went in to rinse them off she DID NOT want to give it up. So i swapped it out for a clean one and let her go to town. it kept her occupied for a good 20 minutes...Whatever works right?

Crazy walker!

Teagan has become quite the expert walker, in her walker that is... She zooms all over the place, except the carpet, where she gets stuck. She loves her walker. I put her in there when I am cooking dinner or doing dishes. She is getting to that stage where she crabs when you leave her by her self for even a moment, so then when I am in the kitchen, that is where she goes.

Silly Girl

Teagan laughing with Toby, though Toby is trying to figure out what is so amusing!

Angry Baby!

This is Teagan getting mad in her jumperoo!!! The angrier she gets, the more violent she bounces!!! And just think, this is after she had been doing it for a while, and i finally decided to get it on video.

Funny Teagan

I tell ya, this kid makes me laugh!

1st whole cracker

I was eating Ritz crackers today and Teagan seemed anxious to eat some. I started off by biting off small pieces and giving them to her, but that just wasnt enough. So i decided to give her a whole one and hope that it just started dissolving in her mouth. She did really good, didnt have to do any Heimlich maneuvers or anything... :) She did make a mess though. Toby hasnt quite figured out that where Teagan goes, there is also food. I had to keep calling him over to clean up after her, but who was i joking, he doesnt even clean up after himself...

Baptism

Teagan got baptized on Saturday at 4:00 mass at St. Francis Xavier Church (same church we got married at). Here are just a few pictures. My dad took all the pictures during the ceremony that I will hopefully get tonight when we go over there for dinner.

The parents

Teagan was soooo good during the service. They did the baptism in the middle of the ceremony. I was a little scared because it was later in the day, and typically by about 5:00 is when she starts to get tired and crabby. She was in such a good mood. I think it helped it being a new place and lots of stuff to look at. It was almost kind of embarrasing at times because she was talking so loud and giggling while we were supposed to be praying, or just being quiet. She even decided to join in on the singing at times!

For the first time (at least to my eyes) she was waving at my dad while he was taking pictures. It was soo cute. He would wave at her to get her attention while we were standing up during her baptism to get a good picture, and she would wave back. We did have one mishap. She was getting a little antsy while we were standing up there, so i started to bounce her a tad. Well the time for them to put the apron thing on couldn't come sooner.... As soon as it was put over her head she puked up! all over the floor and on her new apron. It was so funny! Other than that, she was an angel! I will try to post the rest of the pictures as soon as i can! Or at least post them to my shutterfly account.

Baby steps.....

Or should I say wiggle by wiggle.... Teagan is starting to get the concept of moving her knees or getting something moving under. She just needs to get her balance, or figure it out.

Teagan in the morning

I know, this isnt a very exciting video. But i had to put it on here. It isnt a very good representation of how happy she is in the mornings, nor how much she typically talks. But who knows when i will actually get it on tape.

I love my Puffs!

I was feeding Teagan her puffs, and I thought that it had been a while since i taped her eating anything. She is getting pretty good at it now. Most of the time she makes it in her mouth.

getting closer!

Teagan still isnt crawling... I thought for sure she would be by now, but she just cant get past rocking. She will get on all fours, but that is it. Her mode of transportation still is rolling all over the place.

Then the Cops Came...

It was about midnight when the neighbors finally called the cops because the music was too loud. They were really nice, but they said if they had to come again they would have to give us a ticket.
