Can't Move!!

Well I finally had a chance to go running last night, and boy am I feeling it now! I went on my usual route only I cut it a little short. I probably could have gone the whole 3 miles, but I was scared to see what I would feel like later. It is always the first jog that you can go the farthest, then your muscles start to yell at you after you are done. I knew I was going to be real sore if i decided to go the whole way, so I turned around just short of where I normally do. The first 5 minutes were rough, then it got easier and easier as I went along.

I started to feel my muscles yell at me at about 9:00 last night. This morning I am about the same, but if I am already sore, I am scared to see what tomorrow brings. It normally takes me 2 days before I feel it. Hopefully this little jog will get me started on my way to losing this belly fat. I just hope I can keep it up!

Chris has softball at 6:30 tonight so I wont be able to run. If the weather is nice and the rain holds off we will be going to watch him play.

Someone Is Turning 30 Soon!!!

Alright, it is my turn to turn 30, ICK! We were thinking of having a party at our house, or at the park down the street sometime in June. June 26th is out, so that leaves the 5th, 12th, and 19th. If I don't get my butt in gear soon, we may be pushing it to July sometime. So keep me posted on when people are available.

Completely missed it!

Well I was so busy last night trying to figure out how to make my blog look cute that I completely forgot that yesterday was Teagans 22 week birthday! I have not posted any pictures from this past week. I will try to do that tonight if I have time. I was thinking about it in the shower this morning and i felt so bad when it hit me. I couldn't even remember how many weeks. It is getting harder and harder to keep track the older she gets. I may start just doing every other week or monthly now. I guess it depends on how many pictures i have taken.

Hope you like the new look of our blog! It is a little busy, but it is better than what I had. I am sure i will change it again.

Remember this Chair?

Those of you who were around when I turned 21 might remember it. We went to R.J.'s in Lindenhurst after I had had a few pre birthday drinks at my parents house. I don't really remember it all that much, but apparently i wouldnt leave without it and a set of silverware....go figure. Well it has been almost a decade and it is finally going to good use. It kept its home in my parents house for about 4 years as the video game chair. Then it moved with us when Chris and I bought our first house in Salem (where we currently live). It was my hair-cutting chair for a long time and then it turned into a dust collector when we had to turn our computer room into Teagan's room. But now it has found a new home, in the kitchen, where it will collect bits and pices of food left behind by our little one!

Teagan had carrots today and she really liked them. she puked them up quite a bit about 45 minutes later, but we will see how it goes tomorrow night. so far peas and rice cereal are the only thinks that she is not a fan of.

Oatmeal Cereal

I gave Teagan oatmeal cereal for the first time today. She really liked it. I typically give her cereal at her 10:30 feeding, but she didnt seem all that hungry, so i decided to wait till her next one. She ate it real good and didnt even try to spit it out or suck her thumb too much. I think this is going to replace her rice cereal. She seemed to like the oatmeal much better.

Toby Got a Haircut and Bath!

We were long over due! Since Teagan, I have not been very good at keeping up with Toby's grooming, so he has gotten a ton of mats! When I shave him, I typically keep an inch or two on him, then he looks like a puppy. But because I have been so bad at keeping up with his brushings (and we all know Chris hasn't lifted a brush) he has gotten a lot of mats in his neck and legs. So I just had to shave him down. Plus, I wanted to get him short because we found two ticks on him, and it freaked me out. So I gave him a haircut and wash and then when he dried I put his advantix on. So now he is all ready for the spring and summer.

He looks so skinny now with his short hair. Plus this will be nice with all this mud, so much easier to wipe his paws and help prevent him from tracking in all the leaves and stuff. I tell ya, his fur is like velcro! Everywhere he goes, he brings it in the house. I can't keep it clean. Not that I keep up with that as much as I should...

My first soccer game

I went to my first soccer game today. We watched mom's old soccer team play (they won!) and then watched my second cousin, Kelly play. We only stayed for the first half of Kelly's game because I had to get back and eat some sweet potatoes and mom and dad had to eat dinner yet. i slept most of the way home so then I didnt go to sleep until almost 9:00. But it was worth it, I had a lot of fun! We will see if I sleep all night, mom decided to feed me right before I went to bed instead of waking me up again at 9:30 to feed me. Cross your fingers I stay full enough to keep me through till the morning!

New Baby Cousin!

Today I visited my new baby cousin, Andrew Hormel. He is so cute. We went to their house to go say hi for the first time. He is a tan little boy, and looks just like his daddy. He slept most of the time, but woke up just in time for mommy to hold him before we left to go watch Kelly and mom's friends play soccer.

21 Weeks

Teagan is 21 weeks today, can you believe it?!? It is all going by so fast. In the beginning I couldnt wait for her to get bigger and be more interactive, but now she is at that point and i can't get over how big she is. She doesn't look like my little baby any more, she is turning into a little kid! She is getting quite the personality. She has acquired this new fake cough. It is kind of cute. I am not really sure how she picked it up, it isnt like we tend to her right away every time she coughs. she also loves to suck on her toes on her right foot. She likes her feet when they are bare the best. She will grab them, and when they fall down she just lays there and stares at her fingers.

Teagan is starting to notice the smallest things. She likes the little logos on your shirts, or if you have painted fingernails. She is getting quite the grip. I am debating on weather or not i am going to cut my hair. I can't seem to keep it far enough away from her grasp! Not only can she hold on to your hair and pull, but it is hard to get her grip loose. She is also a good pincher. It is amazing how strong those little hands are. Poor Toby, she will hold out her hand for him to lick it and then she grabs on and wont let go. He keeps trying to lick her to get her to let go and we have to intervene.

Teagan also gets distracted very easily now. I will be feeding her and try to eat or look at a magazine at the same time and she keeps stopping and looking at me. The other day i was so hungry but didnt have time to make anything for real, so i made some microwave popcorn thinking it would be something easy enough to eat while i was feeding her. Well she wouldnt let me. Every time i took a bit of a piece of popcorn, she would stop eating and look up at me. I tried several times, even letting the kernel kind of melt in my mouth before i started chewing so it wouldnt make as much noise. But she still herd it and would stop eating, so i had to give up.

Teagan is on a pretty good schedule now. She eats about every 3.5 hours. Her schedule looks a little something like this:
6:30 ish-wakes up on her own and hangs out and entertains herself in her crib
7:00-eats 7.5 oz
8:30, 9:00-goes down for a nap
10:30-eats 6 oz and some rice cereal
12:30, 1:00-goes down for a nap
3:00-eats 7.5 oz
4:30 ish-goes down for a nap
6:30-eats till she is full (I am feeding her at this time)
7:30- eats some rice cereal and whatever veggie we are on
8:00 ish-bedtime
9:30 ish-last feeding

Pretty exciting stuff huh.

Teagan hasnt been able to roll over yet. She rolled from her front to her back a few weeks ago, but that is all the action we have gotten yet. She is getting so incredibly close rolling from her back to her front, but she just cant get past her shoulder. I dont really thinks she tries that hard though, she isnt much of a fan of being on her stomach. she kicks those feet all the time. I am thinking of getting her one of those toys that are for their feet. they either go in their crib or someplace and it plays music when you kick it. She has some strong legs. I have a feeling she is going to skip the crawling phase and go straight to walking. she can hold all of her weight, she just needs to get her balance figured out. She will even try to walk if you hold her upright. It is pretty cute.

Jumperoo

Teagan is really getting the hang of her jumperoo! It is becoming one of her favorite toys. She loves to march!

Green Beans!

Well we finally finished the rest of the peas yesterday, so today we started on green beans. She seemed to like them a little better than the sweet peas. At least she didnt gag on them... Teagan is starting to get a little better at the whole spoon feeding thing. She starts chomping at the spoon before i can get it all the way in her mouth. It is kind of funny, and then when i do get it in there she spits it out, go figure.

Teagan has become our little piggy. She eats a few spoon fulls of veggie for dinner and then a half a bowl of cereal. She is getting some thunder thighs on her!!

New High Chair!

Well I finally put together Teagan's high chair today. So far we (as in me, my mom and Chris' mom, Chris has yet to feed her with a spoon) have been feeding her in her vibraty seat. It has been working pretty good other than she likes to suck her thumb when you feed her and it ends up everywhere! We got one of those space saver ones (thank you Jessi and Polly) for my baby shower. It was really easy to put together and doesnt take up a lot of space in our little kitchen. Teagan did well in it. She didnt really make much of a mess other than the one on her face. I think she was taken away with being fed in the kitchen for one, and two being in her new chair. So she really didn't fuss much, nor did she want to eat a ton. But at least she was happy, so that is good, right?

She still isnt very happy with the sweet peas. I bought one of the smallest jars i could. We are going on day four, and she doesn't seem to be warming up to the idea of them. I can't say i blame her, I am not a big fan of peas myself. We are going to move on to green beans next. I don't want to get into fruits too soon, I am scared she will really like the sweet flavor and wont go back to her cereal and veggies. So we are just going to switch it up slowly.

Love My Feet!

Teagan is really starting to love her feet, especially her right one. She has been grabbing them for a while now, but today she just couldn't get them in her mouth long enough! She likes them best when her feet are bare, which is hardly ever, so she tries to get them whenever she can. She even now started sucking on her toes in the tub! It was too cute not to take a picture!

Who Rules the Food Dish?

I was watching Toby and Ollie eat today, and Toby just waits while the cat eats Toby's food. This happens all the time. Ollie will even bite at Toby's fur on his head if he gets too close. Toby doesn't seem to care, he just eats the little pieces on the floor that the cat drops from trying to eat the big pieces of dog food. He just lays there waiting till the cat is done with his food. Ollie even went as far as batting at Toby's head if he interrupted his meal... Too funny!

We were at Shaun and Lisa's yesterday for a bonfire after the guys came back from the Cubs game. Teagan couldn't keep her eyes off of Adelaide. It was so cute, when we were trying to put Teagan to sleep A. kept rubbing her head. She was so gentle with her.

Walking

We went for a walk today. Made a few stops, played on the swings for a bit. It started off pretty cold this morning, but this afternoon it got a little warmer. So we decided to go for a walk and get me and toby some exercise. Teagan even took a try at walking toby....

Happy Easter

Teagan's first Easter! We went to Aunt Carol and Uncle Lloyds yesterday. It was good to see everyone again. Soon Teagan will have a new baby boy cousin in less than 3 weeks! We had wonderful weather, it was gorgeous outside! Of course, being a new mom, i was super paranoid about Teagan being outside too long without any sunscreen, havent bought any yet... But she enjoyed it and boy did it make her sleepy! She had a good ride on grandpa Renwicks shoulders for a while. she also gave me a nice laugh with her cute sun hat and sunglasses!

We didnt have any easter eggs for Teagan to hold so we grabbed one of the lawn ornaments.

Then I had to get some Teagan time. Of course by now, she was a little crabby and ready for a nap!
