Teagan had her first trip to the Milwaukee Zoo! she loved it!

Naked horseback riding!

Yesterday after a bath Teagan had so much energy.. so i let her run around naked. she really wanted to ride the horse so i figured, why not? this was just some of the fun she ahd.

New outside play house

Grandma and Grandpa Renwick got Teagan a big plastic playhouse for outside!! They found it for free, some one was just going to throw it away and gini saw it so she asked if she could take it and they were happy to get rid of it. Jim came with his truck to come pick it up.

So we finally put it together  yesterday because it was beautiful outside, almost too hot and washed it up. Teagan was our little helper.

Playing with Ollie

I got ollie this toy on a stick, and Teagan loves to try to play with Ollie with it. Only instead of bouncing it around to get him to pounce on it, she practically whacks him with it! too funny. he will play for a while, but then he gets sick of getting poked. this is just a little bit, she has done way worse!

Flicker

I am trying out a possible solution to my lack of space on my blog for pictures. If you havent noticed already i have posted some pictures on flicker. this is my first time using it so hopefully i am using it correctly. if you scroll down you will see pictures of teagan at her first ChuckE Cheese's. I will soon (if i remember) be posting pictures of her zoo trip. those i took with my good camera and need to convert them because i took them in RAW format. apparently that is the best type to use, keeps all of the info from the camera and doesnt delete half of it as a .jpg does. needless to say that means more work on my end before i can post them. but better for you, because i will only end up posting the good ones and you will no longer have to look at 300 okay pictures and will have the best 50! i know, i probably should have been doing that eons ago, but i just dont have the time to sit down and go through them all. plus, i am a mother, my child does NOT take ANY bad pictures so how can i get rid of any??!!!  :)

let me know what you guys think of the flicker? they seem to load faster than shutterfly, plus shutterfly gets stuck after a while. i was loading my chucke Cheese pictures there and after about picture 125 it stopped working... go figure. so i might not be using that sight anymore. but i think i will be reducing the sizes of the pictures i post. i do have a monthly limit on flicker. i think it is 30 meg and 2 videos per month. the videos i will still be using youtube unless i find something better because as far as i know there is no limit, at least none that they have notified me yet of.

15 month checkup

I know it is late, but we got in late... so for her 15 month check up, even though she was 16 months. As of Monday March 28 Teagan weighed in at 23 lbs, and 31.25 inches. The nurse had to measure her twice because she had shrunk since her 12 month measurement... go figure. well this time was different. Teagan on weighted and measured (the first time) on the big people scale. You know, the ones that we all hate, the old fashioned ones that you stand on and watch as the nurse pushes the little weight further and further to the right until you can watch anymore and then in finally balances out? yeah, that awful one. i havent liked that one since being pregnant, had to stand on it way too much, and will never forget the day they had to move the BIG weight over...

They even measured her height on that thing. but then the nurse came back and measured her the old way, by laying her on the examining bed with the thin paper on it, and marking her head and feet then measuring. i will have to look back to see how tall she was last time, but i just think they measured wrong at her 12 month. she is now in the 75% for height and holding a steady 50% for weight. Hopefully she wont drop down on the height and take after her mother in that department...

Teagan is doing well. she stared to get a cold the following day and then it all climaxed in a pukey mucus mess last Friday at grandmas house... but since then she has been slowly getting better. she doesnt have as bad of a runny nose anymore, but is starting to get a bit of a cough. so hopefully when we go to the Dells in two weeks she is all better and will have tons of fun!

sick again... but still a happy weekend

Well Teagan started to get a boogie nose on Tuesday and then Tuesday evening is when she started to get a bad cold. I was in fear that it was going to be the January cold all over again, but so far it is already getting better and it hasnt even been a week. I think her worst day was Friday when she puked all over my mom!  but i think that was the turning point. Chris' parents had planned to go to the Milwaukee Zoo for family free day on Saturday, but after mom called me and said that she had puked i thought for sure we were not going... But to my surprise she actually had an appetite Friday night, slept through the night and was pleasant to be around Saturday, at least more enjoyable than the days prior. So there was hope!!

Needless to say after a 3 hour morning nap we wrangled up the Renwick/Wood family (aunt Andi, uncle Michael, Grandma, Grandpa, mom and pop) and went to the zoo for 2 hours. i knew going in that there wasnt going to be that many animals out and about, but i was kind of surprised at how small it was. Did you know that the Milwaukee Zoo doesnt have any lions!!! disappointing. But teagan had fun looking at the bear and monkeys. there were even little ducks walking around in the bird area. She did really well considering she was still sick. she did her monkey noises and piggy noises (still have to get on video). we got some cute pictures, of course i cant post them on here, still working on a workaround on that one. Grandpa walked around most of the time with Teagan on his shoulders, it was cute. Teagan loved it. i wouldnt mind seeing everything from up there, then i wouldnt have to hop around to get a good view of the animals from behind all the head of people.

So this was Teagans first time at the zoo. i think next time we will go to the Brookfield zoo, maybe  take the train or something. i think she would get a kick out of it. plus i hear it is much bigger and then she will be able to see the lions and do her lion noise! :)

But all in all it was a good saturday. after that we drove home and hung out at aunt Andi and uncle Michael's house. all the cousins came over to watch the Tennessee basketball game, sorry Tennessee... it was fun. we didnt stay too late because teagan didnt get much of an afternoon nap on the drive home (not much luck with car naps these days) so on top of being sick and tired she was not a very happy camper. we held her off with a bath in the giant jacuzzi bathtub. She was up until after 9 and we had to wake her up this morning at 8:00. Teagan is still on the upswing of getting better, she is in a good mood but still has dried, crusted boogies all over her face that are impossible to get off with out her throwing a temper tantrum! so i am just gradually picking them off and wiping as hard as i can without hurting her with a wipe.

FYI, i am currently loading up some videos that i should have done a while ago, but it just takes so dang long! so as soon as they are done i will post them. plus i have been downloading pictures from Chucke Cheeses since yesterday and it is still going on shutterfly. so i will post the link when i can. i think i might look into another site for holding my pictures since shutterfly takes forever!! any suggestions?

Necklace walk with Carson

This is an old one, but a cute one i never had the chance to post. It is Carson playing with teagan on Christmas eve. She was getting a little crabby and he just entertained her. it was great!! Carson had this necklace with light bulbs on it and Teagan just decided to walk around with it while it was still attached to Carson...

Ketchup

Teagan was playing with the ketchup bottle and yapping up a storm. i tried to get it on video, but i ran out of room on my camera and it stopped recording, but here is what i got. i am going to try to get her words on video so you can hear her. she can now also say burp! of course she says it every time she burps.

Zippers

Teagan's new thing is zippers! she figured out how they work, just cant do it yet herself. she gets mad after a while, but you just distract her and she is better again.

Teagan has begun quite a vocabulary. She now can say a number of words, not all of them are easily identifiable, but we get the picture. Here are a few translations. I will try to get more cute stuff on video since i cant post any more pictures.

Boo!

We were just sitting around and Teagan decided to play peek a boo! well she actually doesnt play "peek-a-boo", but more like "BOO!". she just walks up to you and says boo! it is cute.
