Grand Geneva with Grama and Grampa Renwick

We went to Grand Geneva with Chris' parents on Wednesday evening. There were tons of lights on the drive up and then when we got inside there were all sorts of decorations. It was pretty cool. Teagan really liked all the lights.

These are Teagan looking out the window in the back with grampa Renwick. We got a lot of ooohs, and aaahs. It was cute.

Inside there were tons of little scenes set up. We tried to put Teagan in as many as we could. She didnt seem to mind.

Chris' dad walked all over the place with her on his shoulders. It was so cute. Teagan loved it, she could see everything. But i kept getting worried because the building is older so the ceiling is lower. I was so scared that he was going to hit her head on a light or on a new section of ceiling.

Where is the snowman's nose? There it is!!!

Look Emery, it is Bob Bob (Spongebob)!!!!

There were a ton of gingerbread houses. They were having a contest. Some of them were pretty cool, here are just a few of them.

One of my favorites.

Look Frank, you should make a gingerbread train with Andrew!

Michael is voting on his favorite.

My old time favorite, the Carebears!

I had to take this picture for all the football fans out there! I dont see why the Packers get the big house and driveway...

I was trying to get a picture of Aunt Andi and Teagan by the giant toy soldier, but Teagan kept looking at the lights in the little christmas trees on either side of her.

Outside there were snow sculptures. A giant sleigh and Santa!

What do we want for christmas???
We had so much fun. We should do it every year. Next year Teagan will really have a blast i think!

Merry christmas everyone!!!

Well i hope everyone had a wonderful christmas! We had a lot of fun. Teagan even started getting the hang of it after a while. She would want to play with every toy that was opened and it was hard to get her to open the next one. it was cute.

We went to Chris' families Christmas eve at his Aunt Lin's club house. We stayed there for a few hours and then headed over to my parents for our christmas with our extended family. Teagan did really good. she slept for a short while on the way over there. I was a little worried with her getting such a short nap that she would be crabby at my parents, but she was good. i think all the commotion and kids kept her busy. i will post some pictures soon, i hope.

Sippy Cup Dilemma

Alright all you  mothers out there... I have a question, how do you get an almost 13 month old to kick the bottle and drink milk out of a sippy cup? she will take a few sips but that is it. I have tried the no budge method and all i get is one crabby baby!!! I am scared that she will get dehydrated. She will drink water out of a sippy cup, but any ounce that i can get her to drink i need to be milk so she can get the vitamins and nutrients she needs. i am not really sure why you need to get rid of the bottle at one. anyone know? i get the whole not sleeping with your bottle thing because of the tooth decay. but she drinks her bottle pretty  much all at once. so why have her slowly take a few sips throughout the day of milk, when she can get it done in a few minutes with a bottle? I see that as kids get older they need more nutrition from food rather than milk. So if she is only drinking 16 or so ounces a day of milk does it matter if it comes from a bottle or a sippy cup? I think i would almost rather give her a few bottles a day with just a few ounces of milk and then have her drink water the rest of the time out of a sippy.

i am up for suggestions or comments.

here are a few pics of a little temper tantrum we had this afternoon. this was probably the 3rd of the day... I feel like i am creating a crabby baby that was once a fairly easy child. Is it worth it?

Bundle UP!

I figured since i got most of my work done this weekend i would relax and take Teagan outside and play in the snow. Nothing is an easy task when it comes to bundling a toddler...

as you can see she is not too thrilled to have all these clothes on and still be inside!

We took the sled out and walked to the park with Toby. I originally tried to put Toby's old harness on that we got him when he was a puppy, but he was too excited to walk calmly while pulling Teagan on the sled. So it was quite a sight, me walking getting pulled by a 75 lb dog and pulling a 22 lb child. Can you imagine??

But once we got there, Teagan was having so much fun on the swings. it had been quite a while since we had all gone to the park.

This morning

Teagan and Toby looking out our bedroom window.

Chris drove my car just in case it snowed today so he took the car seat out if i needed to go anywhere. So Teagan decided to play in it. It actually kept her busy a lot today, it was nice.

messy eater

For those of you who were fooled into thinking that Teagan was NOT a messy eater (according to how she reacted to her birthday cake), see for yourself. this is what our typical mealtime looks like.

Doesnt it just make you want some broccoli???

smell blow.AVI

This one is kind of old, but it is supposed to be Teagan smelling and blowing. she learned these tricks a few weeks ago, shortly after her first birthday party. But of course she was not cooperating very well when i was video taping her....

bear on tree

here is Teagan playing with one of the bear ornaments on the tree. it is her new thing now to rub her head on anything she likes... i think she might have picked that up from Ollie (our cat).

Photo fun!

I got to borrow Heather's good camera and here are a few (and i do mean few, i think i took a total of 367 pictures in one day!) that i picked out.

Here is Teagan showing off her first shiner. Her and Emery were playing and she fell and hit her head on something... great mom i am, didnt even see what she hit.

Toby with a cone on his head because he got the "boys" cut off.

My two misfits!

Awe, Teagan giving Toby a kiss.

this was my set up attempt to take some christmas quality photos.

cuddling on the chair with Toby

there is that eye! she got a little cut on her eyelid and a bruise on the top part of her cheek bone. it was amazing, buy the  end of the week you couldnt even tell that anything happened.

looking out the window thinking someone is coming. Teagan now runs too once she sees toby do it.

I kept say "whos here?" and this is what i get. two children waiting anxiously at the garage door!

Teagan feeding toby some of her lunch. Toby finally got smart and either begs or parks it under her high chair.

Teagan trying on Tobys collar. too funny.

just one of teagan's silly faces.

first time playing in the snow!!! she was eating it!

attempts at walking didnt go so well....

Play time with Emery and Halas

We went over to Kim and Ralphs house for the football game. Teagan and Emery had fun playing and crawling all over Halas. He is sooo good with the kids. he just lays there while they roll and tumble over him. As you can see they both love his fur!

Teagan's Teeth

Teagan has 3 teeth now! here are two, sorry i am soooo far behind on posts. But she has 2 on the bottom (the two front ones) and one on the top. The one on the top almost looks like her front tooth but way over where her eye tooth would be. at her 12 month appointment the doc said it could be her front tooth!!!!! that is kind of scary. looks like braces might be in her future.... :)

Here is her tooth on the bottom (now there are 2).

Here is her "front" tooth on the side.
