Ollie is finally getting brave/curious enough to get close to Teagan. I am just waiting for Teagan to grab a hand full of hair and Ollie not being nearly as patient as Toby...that will be the last time she tries that move!

Little Mechanic

Chris and his dad were working on his Mustang and decided to give Teagan a little lesson in replacing an alternator. She was really content, it was something new to look at. When I realized what they were doing with her (I was planting annuals around the cherry tree and lugging rocks from the front yard to the side), she had dirt all over her face and on her hands. I should have taken a picture, but i was in such a hurry to get her clean i didnt...

New Trend

Apparently now that Teagan is an expert roller, she prefers to sleep on her belly. For the past few nights I have gone in her room in the morning and she is sleeping on her stomach. I was a little worried about it the first night with SIDS and all, but now it is no big deal.

Little Love from Emery!

We went to Chris' softball game on Friday and Kim and Emery came. Emery seems to really like Teagan, he was all about giving her kisses. Apparently he doesnt kiss just anyone... They were checking each other out for a while, then they just started grabbing at each others faces... it was cute!

Sooo Far Behind!!

Sorry everyone, but I am sooo far behind on posting. Teagan has been doing so much stuff lately. I have some on camera and others i will just have to tell you about. I will keep this short and sweet, and will hopefully update you with visuals later in the week (I left my camera at Andi's house last night so I cant post pictures until I get it back).

Of course I am not going to remember half the stuff she did without the pictures to jog my memory, it is really getting bad these days.... Lets see.

Teagan is starting to like to be on her belly more than her back now, surprise, surprise! She is a rolling machine. She rolled from her front to her back a few months ago, but i never saw her do it again. But now she has for sure mastered the rolling from back to front and just Sunday she started rolling from front to back again. We were over at Dex's house watching the Blackhawks game on Sunday and she was playing on the floor and i looked down and she was all the way to the other side of the room! We had to keep moving her back because she would end up under the coffee table and we were scared she would either get kicked by the guys in the excitement of the game, or bump her head on the legs.

What else has she done... I am sooo drawing a blank right now..see i need those pictures to help me remember, i never leave home without it!

Well I am sure i am missing something inbetween, but yesterday i was outside weeding and planting the annuals that have been sitting in flats for the past two weeks and Teagan was up. So i put her in her bumbo next to me while i weeded. She leaned over and started pulling the grass around her. it was soooo cute! She was either mimicking me or just was intreaged with the grass and had to pull it. She was being really good and didnt even attempt to eat it!

Teagan holds her bottle supper supper well now. Yesterday i had her laying on the floor drinking her bottle while we ate dinner and she held it the entire time and drank the whole thing by herself! She is also getting much better about not puking. That valve must have closed up or something, because if you would have asked me a few months ago, I would have never thought I could take her somewhere without having to bring 5 or more burp rags to clean up her puke mess.

I may have already mentioned this in past posts, but she is hillarious when pooping! Since she is eating a lot of solid foods (baby foods and occasionally bits of what we are eating) she has real poop now. First you will hear her grunting and then after a while you will see her face turn red. She gets this real serious look on her face. I will have to try to get it on video one of these times.

At Andi and Michael's house yesterday we celebrated my birthday early with some Dairy Queen icecream cake (my favorite). And Andi fed some of the vanilla part to Teagan. It was her first icecream experience! She loved it of course. She looks like a fish out of water when she wants something in her mouth! she just sits there opending and closing her mouth waiting for you to shove it in!

Oh, I just remembered another thing! Yesterday (yesterday was a big day) when i was gardening i had teagan laying on a blanket in the shade (after her grass pulling bumbo experience) and i had found a frog... So of course me being the frog fanatic I am I had to introduce her to her first live frog. So i held it in front of her and she grabbed right for it! She actually squeezed quite hard so i had to pry it out of her hand and it dropped on her chest. She was all about it. It was sooo cute.

Teagan also met Gera (my friend Heather's 3.5 week old baby girl) for the first time yesterday. We all went for a walk and Teagan got to play with this play house front thing with all sorts of fun stuff for her to play with. She loved it!

Well i think that is all i have stored in my little memory bank of mine. Hopefully I will get my camera back soon so I can get some pictures to go along with these stories.

Feeding Time!

We have started finger foods!! Teagan seems to like the somewhat solids we have started to feed her. I think she just likes to smack her gums as if she were chewing. So far we have given her banana pieces and puffs. She likes the puffs the best so far. I just got done reading the ingredients and the 3rd ingredient is sugar. great! no wonder about half an hour after we gave some to her she was so hyper!

We spent a lot of time at the sand bar on th Wold River this weekend. The water was wonderful, and we couldnt have asked for better weather.

I had bought 3 different tubes for Teagan, and my mom bought 2. this is one that my mom bought. She fits in this one pretty good, only it doesnt have a shade thing like the other ones.

The little blue and red nobs make noise when you push on them. It entertained her for a while.

Teagan loved the water. She was in the shade most of the time on the pontoon with our fort of towels keeping her shaded. I do think she might have my dad and uncle andy's allergies towards the algae in the water. towards the end of the day her eyes were a little puffy and red. but it didnt seem to bother her.

Our First Camping Trip!

Well almost. I guess if you call going to my parent's trailer in Freemont WI camping... I don't think I could take a small child camping anywhere for more than one night. This is the back of our car just before leaving. Thank goodness we upgraded from a Ford Focus, to a Toyota Rav4. There is no way we could have fit all this junk in the trunk of my old car. I couldnt believe how much stuff we took. Of course we barely used half of it!

Finally on our way. This is our happy camper, in route to her first whole weekend somewhere other than home! She did pretty good on the trip there. We timed it out so it would be close to nap time (leaving Friday night after chris' softball game). We ended up leaving around 8:00.

Getting Bigger!

Teagan is officially in size 3 diapers now! Growing fast. We just used up her last size 2 Saturday. The size 3's are a little big, but it is better than having to clean up a blow out!!

Today is Teagan's 1st half birthday! I took a picture of her this morning, but of course i forgot my camera. So i will have to try to post something tonight.

Jumping Bean!

This is Teagan today in her jumperoo. She is really getting the hang of it. She was jumping on it so hard, I had to take a video. At some point before i started taping she was getting so high the springs were actually loose and she was jumping on her own force. It is so funny when she tries to walk in it. She looks like a little sumo wrester because she takes such wide foot steps. She kind of swings back and forth.

We went for a walk on Sunday, and boy was it HOT!!! Look at cute little Teagan with her sun hat and sunglasses. I love these glasses. they fit her perfectly and she doesnt seem to mind them. i was so sweaty by the end of this walk, I couldnt wait to get home!

We went to waukesha for a jewlery party on Saturday at Kurt and Lisa's house. It was a good time. I won a the raffle to get any piece of jewlery in the catalog for under $100! So i got a necklace that cost $88 for free! Then i won another necklace in a box. but the necklace was gold and i dont really like gold, so i gave it to my mom.
